title: "Commit — The Accountability App You Can't Fake"
description: "An iPhone app that makes following through non-negotiable. Every commitment names its own proof, the people you pick can see it, and you choose what a miss costs. Nothing is charged unless you actually miss."

# The easiest way to hold yourself accountable.

**You already know what to do. Now it stops being optional.** Decide once, while you still care — what you'll do, how you'll prove it, and who checks. After that you can't tick the box without proof, and the people you picked can see whether you showed up.

You set the goal as the person who cares. You break it as the person who's tired.

Follow-through was never a willpower problem. Today-you negotiates with tomorrow-you and loses every round, because tomorrow-you doesn't care what you decided. So stop arguing. Write it down while you still mean it — and make breaking it cost something real.

## You've had this conversation before.

### Commit breaks the loop

Make a decision while you still care — and we won't let you renegotiate it when it's due.

## Set it. Sign it. Prove it.

Four steps, sixty seconds — and there's no quiet way out anymore.

- 01 SET IT Set your commitment Habit or one-off task — “Run 5k daily” or “File taxes Friday.” Typed like a text.

- 02 ARM IT Add proof + stake, sign Choose your evidence, set what a miss costs, sign with your finger. Binding.

- 03 PROVE IT Prove it, live When it's due, capture proof in-app. Camera roll doesn't count.

- 04 VERIFIED Someone checks Commit AI or a friend rules it kept. Streak grows, stake stays yours, squad goes wild.

## Receipts, or it didn't happen.

Different commitments need different evidence. Commit verifies it — by AI, a friend, or automatically — before a day counts as kept.

## Put something real on the line.

A stake is anything that makes skipping cost more than showing up. Tap one to see how it works — money for some, a locked phone or earned-back screen time for others.

- ★ MOST POPULAR Monetary stake + Lose real cash to charity, a friend, or an anti-charity you hate. Set the amount ($5–$200) and where it goes when you sign. Show up and you're never billed — you're only charged the day you actually miss.

- Exercise for screen time + Earn your scroll back with reps — push-ups, squats, jumping jacks. Your distraction apps lock. Do the reps to unlock a minute of screen time for each one. Movement instead of mindless.

- App block + Lock your most distracting apps for a full 24 hours. Miss a day and the apps you chose freeze for 24 hours. No bargaining with the algorithm.

- Email + A confession you'd hate to send, sent for you. Pre-write it and pick the recipient. Miss, and it goes out on your behalf — no take-backs.

- No stake + Just your streak and your word — a treat for keeping it. Some people only need the proof and a witness. Start here, add teeth whenever you're ready.

- COMING SOON More on the way + We're building new ways to mean it. Tell us what would actually keep you honest — the roadmap's public and we ship what you vote up.

### Strict on bullshit. Soft on real life.

We're not here to hurt you — we're here to stop you from lying to yourself. The proof bar is real. The grace for actual emergencies is, too.

## Way harder to flake on the group chat.

Pull friends into a squad and share one habit, one task, or everything you've signed — because quitting in private is easy. They're the people who approve or reject your proof, and the group carries a single streak that only moves on the days the squad clears the bar it set.

### One streak, four people, one bar to clear.

## Some proof you don't want friends to open.

The sink before you cleaned it. The room you let get that bad. The weigh-in. The proof that would actually settle it is usually the photo you'd least like a friend to open — so most people quietly don't take it. Commit AI is the reviewer for those ones.

- **The proof goes to Commit AI.** *Read against the terms you signed, in about half a second.*
- **The group gets the result.** *Your streak moves, the group streak moves, nobody waits on a friend.*
- **Friends get the result, not the photo.** *They see that you did it. They never open the picture.*

### Meet Commit AI — your private accountability partner.

Three jobs. *Zero mercy, all love.*

## Lock yourself in before you talk yourself out of it.

Type it the way you'd text a friend — a daily habit or a one-off task — then pick how you'll prove it, name who can approve it, and sign. After that it isn't up for negotiation.

## An honest admission.

None of this came out of research. It came out of a decade of not doing the things we said we would.

Downloaded six habit apps and ignored every notification with total consistency. Paid for a gym monthly and drove past it weekly. Said tomorrow until it stopped meaning a day. Ticked the box without doing the thing.

So Commit never asks you to want it more. It runs on three things you cannot talk your way around.

If any of that sounds familiar, it was built for you too. Willpower was never the thing that was going to fix it.

If none of it sounds like you, you lie about other things too.

## It works on people like you.

> "Staked $50 on running, lost it week one, and haven't skipped a morning since. The proof shot is undefeated."

> "The AI caught me trying to reuse last week's gym photo. Brutal. Fair. I respect it."

> "My squad clocks every missed dish. Annoying — also the only reason my kitchen's clean for the first time in years."

## Built with the people who use it.

Commit is shaped in the open. Every feature starts as a request, climbs the board on your votes, and ships when you say it matters. Here's what's moving right now.

## Before you commit.

- What if I'm sick, traveling, or have a real reason to skip? + Life happens, and Commit plans for it. You start with 10 grace tokens — spend one to reverse a stake and keep your streak. Got a genuine reason? File an appeal with proof and the stake won't apply. Heading off-grid? Pause your check-ins in advance.

- What if I forget to check in? + Commit doesn't nag you — your friends do. There's no reminder scheduler in the app, so the deadline you set is the deadline you meant. If you honestly forget a day, that's exactly what grace tokens are for, and you have 24 hours to appeal a miss.

- Can I commit to one-off tasks, not just habits? + Both. Set a recurring habit (Run 5k, Mon/Wed/Fri) or a one-off task with a single deadline (Finish the pitch deck by Friday) — same proof, same stakes, same follow-through.

- Can I do this with friends? + That's most of the point. Pull friends into a squad of up to 10, share one habit or all of them, and name the people who can approve or reject your proof — only they can. Your proof lands in the group's activity feed, and everyone sees it. There's a group streak that only moves on days the squad hits its threshold. Quitting in private is easy. This isn't private.

- What stops me from faking the proof? + Quite a lot. Proof is captured live in-app — no camera-roll uploads — and stamped with time and place. Commit AI reads the context, not just the pixels, and a friend can verify too. Game it and the only person you've fooled is the one you're becoming.

- Does this cost money? + Commit is free while we're in public beta, with no subscription. A stake is separate from anything you ever pay us: stakes are service fees paid to Cognitive Health Research LLC — not donations, and there's no tax receipt. You're only charged on a day you miss, never upfront, and there's a 72-hour hold before collection so an appeal can land first.

## Make this the time it sticks.

You already know what you need to do. Sign your name, decide now what a miss costs, and the version of you who wants to skip doesn't get a vote.
